Snow and New Music!
Posted by Brink on Jan 22, 2011 @ 12:43pm

Hey bloomers, hope this blog finds you all doing well. Just wanted to give everyone an update with what's going on in the world of Manic Bloom.

Obviously, we don't know where you all live, but here in Nashville, we've been getting quite a bit of snow with all this cold weather. Growing up in Texas, I rarely got snow, but since living here, I've grown tired of it fast. Don't get me wrong, I love snow. But I'm just tired of how everything shuts down and the roads become annoying. Several weeks ago, I actually wrecked my car on an overpass sliding on some ice. I slid about twenty feet or so into the car in front of me. Not fun, especially since my car is what we all pile into when traveling. But, don't worry, its been fixed and is good as new now. You can check out the damage below.

Moving on to more interesting things, we've been hard at work with new material. We've also been working on songs that we've had in the works for a long, long time. Some of you who have seen us play live before have actually heard one of the songs that we've been working on. Along with older material, new material has been exciting too. I can't wait to share it with you guys. I promise it's the same Manic Bloom that you all know and love - heavy guitar and drums along with pretty piano and vocal melodies. We're not sure when this will be released, but you won't wait forever.

We're thankful for all of you guys. Stay warm!

I know how you feel Brink. Trapped for 3 days inside during an ice storm is heck. Even though on two of my days I was scheduled off. Went to work late on two of them due to the fact I drive back roads that were completely covered with 1/2 inches of ice (scary) and my job won't fix that. They made it to where it looks like I was deliberately late. I guess my job doesn't really care about my life you know. Even though the supervisor knew I was going to be late she wouldn't fix it. So now I have a warning to my name.

Thank heaven's though we're both safe. That's all we can say. I am totally sick of the snow and ice myself.

I can't wait to hear the new stuff. You know I can't. I am hoping to be at manic monday for a few minutes this monday because I have to go to bed early since I have to get up extremely early to go to work.

See you guys later :)

Ohio is horrible, I've gotten stuck twice on curbs already from sliding on ice patches.  And I'm really kinda bumming that I haven't heard this new stuff, lamesauce.

Exactly Anya:) Here in Poland we have it enought to hate our public trasport, especially railway stations. Snow is cool only through window.

Try having your surgery in New York City during the worst snowstorm.  19" in central park.  There goes all the staff, its been a hell for me.  The storm in nYC is differant than like in Albany.  I'm used to it, ALL NewYorkers are like you Nashvillians and texans.   I will be up and about very soon.  will give u a call as soon as I am able.
