Recording and Christmas!
Posted by Andy on Dec 10, 2010 @ 8:38am

Hey Bloomers,

Just wanted to let you all know we started working on writing new material this week.  We are very excited to have some time to be creative again (even though our faithful Mac computer that we recorded our last 2 albums on has finally gone to "a better place".)  I know we are still very proud of our last 2 releases, but I believe I speak for all of Manic Bloom when I say..."Wait till you hear some of this new stuff....OMG!"  Mike and Melissa (management) have been a huge help in getting our minds right to be a band again and taken the business work load off of us, so we can focus on you and our music. Thanks M&M!

Secondly, I want to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year.  MB is getting together this weekend to celebrate our brotherhood, families, and the blessings we share as a team.  I hope you will all do the same in the next few weeks and please give us some great stories/feedback on what you are doing for the Holidays.  I'm saving my snowboarding trip for a couple months, so it will be like having two Christmases,.... Christmasii,....Christmasees....OK Google says "Christmases", so we'll go with that.  Love you all and thank you for continuing to be the best fan base a band could ask for.

Well let's see. I'm spending most of this week and next in an air cast. I have torn tendons in my foot caused by the arches of my foot falling. Orthotics are not working I guess. But I'm still able to work and do the things I need to do. Got all my CHRISTmas shopping done. Finished it up on Saturday with my mother.

Friday night Edward got part of his Christmas. It was tickets to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra live. Which by the way was a freaking killer show. For every ticket purchased $1.00 went to the Children's Healthcare Centers of Atlanta (Scottish Rite, Egleston, Etc..) and they raised over $9000 dollars. Which that means they had over 9000 concert goers. There was so much going on with the show. The lazers, the video, the pyro, the mad skills each member of TSO brought. The vocal power houses. I was like entranced by the amount of talent this group acutally has. So if they ever come to Nashville you guys should go see them definitely.

The next thing on my list of things is to finish the Holiday season intact with all the crazy shoppers and sales going on. I want it to slow down soon. So many people only think about the gifts to get and give instead of the true meaning of Christmas. Christmas Eve I will be attending the tradition with my family that we exchange gifts with the extended family then. The immediate family thing is always on Christmas.

So with that said, that is what I'm doing. Spending most my time in an air cast and I hope I get to go to the foot doctor on the 23rd to see about coming off the air cast and that my tendons have healed. If not it's an MRI and I think a plaster cast, after that it's surgery. :( Let's hope this thing gets better before then.

God bless you guys during the Christmas season!  I'm so stoked to hear you talking about new material... gets me all excited! :)

I don't know if you've heard... but I'm going to be spending my holidays in Pasadena, CA with my school at the freaking ROSE BOWL.  I'm beyond excited.  We'll be on TV (on NINE different networks) if you guys are interested.  Who knows... maybe you'll even see your favorite TCU drum major!

In all seriousness, though, sending good thoughts y'alls way.  Can't wait for you to head my way again this spring!  Peace and blessings, guys.
