Everything is a process... It's crazy to remember how some things start when you look at the finished product.
Most everybody will probably barely even realize it, but I've been working on the site for a good while, trying to clean things up and make it easier for all of us (and you!) to communicate well and more often. By that I mean via blogs, stuff on our pages, comments, etc - not meaning I created a website so we could have some sort of intervention where we all talk about our feelings. Though a digital psychologist might not be a bad idea...
Anyhow, I just launched all the new stuff. Like I said - you probably won't notice much. Small change over here, a new deally over there... And there's a bunch of stuff on my list that still needs to change. But believe me, it's better. Unless it's broken. Then tell me.
The deal is, I'm kind of a perfectionist (and I would say that the other guys in the band are as well), but sometimes that sucks. Why? Because I'll work on something for a really long time, and just keep finding new things to tweak, so that by the time it's actually ready for other people to see/hear it, I'm kind of disinterested in it. So occasionally, I have to present things to the world, knowing that it's not really done to the extent that I'd like it to be, knowing that (in this case) certain pages might look weird, or (in musical cases) somebody might not catch the vision that I/we are going for...
I'm kind of anticipating a couple of hundred people to email me because when they get this blog in their email, something was freaking out, or they got it 300 times... So, for any of that sort of thing, please accept my apologies.
For any other sort of thing - like someone not understanding what we're trying to do with a song, and why there's a part that sound a little rough because we haven't perfected it - I'm not going to apologize for that... However, I will ask for you to hang with us. We're all in a process... Ours is just here on the web, exposed to everyone with a computer or iPod! :)
And speaking of process, one of the songs on the new album is called "Thousand Angels," which you can hear on YouTube or on many of our Manic Monday videos, or download an acoustic version if you're on our mailing list. If you want to hear a much rougher beginning of that song, here's my old band (Phase of Jen, with Joe Prichard and Tucker Caton) playing a MUCH different version. (There's still time if you want to sing the "Na Na's" on the new album! Record yourself singing them and send them to david@manicbloom.com by Dec 1st to make sure you're included!)

The website is looking good, David. Will just quickly point out the typo in the first line of the first paragraph,
"Most everybody will probably will barely even realize it"
:P
I'm loving every song you guys make, and would gladly pay to purchase an album online (me, paying for music, since when?!?!)
Hope you find time to read this,
-Australian Manic Bloom fan

David, regardless of how much of a perfectionist you or the other members are...I still love you even if there are glitches in the site or something wrong on the album.
I love the Temple of Bloom and it rocks. I know I say it alot, but if you get a fluctuation of fans it's my fault again. I'm blabbing about Everything I Saved You From and I have a feeling your song might be on Eclipse or Breaking Dawn.
Anyways Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

David, I still love the music and totaly understand when you use the words (process and music) together. since you helped record some music for me some day years down the road there will be a much better version of the same song you heard on those hot summer days in you bonus room. lol or at least i hope there will be, and if not well your music is still awsome so i will just play your songs instead :]
